Asset Status

An asset’s status is an easy way to determine the status of an asset, see below descriptions for all asset statuses:

Tracked

This status is for battery-powered asset trackers, these devices do not record trips.

Stationary

This status means that the vehicle is stationary, the ignition is off.

In-Journey

This status means that the vehicle is in a journey, the ignition is on.

Idling

This status means that the vehicle is idling, the ignition is on but the vehicle is not moving.

Out of contact

This status means that the device is out of contact. SmartFleet has not heard from the device in the time that it would expect to.
